This Privacy Policy describes how KJV Bible (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Account information: If you choose to sign in, we collect your email address through our authentication provider (Supabase). Sign-in is optional.
- User preferences: Language selection, display settings, and notification preferences are stored locally on your device.
- Highlights and notes: Your Bible highlights and personal notes are stored locally on your device using SwiftData.
Information collected automatically:
- Analytics data: We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to collect anonymous usage data such as screens viewed, features used, and app interactions. This helps us improve the app experience. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
- Advertising data: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. Premium subscribers do not see ads.
- Crash reports: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic data to improve app stability.
2. In-App Purchases
We offer auto-renewable subscriptions to remove advertisements:
- Monthly subscription: Removes all ads for one month.
- Yearly subscription: Removes all ads for one year.
Subscriptions are processed and managed through Apple’s App Store. We do not collect or store any payment or credit card information. All billing is handled by Apple. Your subscription status is verified through Apple’s StoreKit framework.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the app’s functionality
- To display relevant advertisements (for non-premium users)
- To analyze app usage and improve features
- To diagnose and fix technical issues
- To send daily Bible verse notifications (if enabled by you)
4. Third-Party Services
Our app uses the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements. Google Privacy Policy

- Supabase: For optional user authentication and daily devotional content. Supabase Privacy Policy
- Google Translate: For translating daily devotional content. Translation requests do not include personal information.

5. Data Storage and Security
Most of your data (highlights, notes, preferences) is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. We do not have access to your local data.
Account data (if signed in) is stored securely on Supabase servers with encryption.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Bible content is suitable for all ages. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us so we can delete it.
7. Your Rights
- You can delete your account and associated data at any time through the app’s Settings.
- You can disable analytics by limiting ad tracking in your device’s Privacy settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.
- You can disable notifications at any time through the app or your device settings.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
